JOB TITLE: Area Sales Manager (ASM) Punjab

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and field-focused Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive the retailer &  influencer/farmer network expansion in the assigned region. The ideal candidate must have 5–6 years of experience in sales and marketing of Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC) with strong exposure to rural markets and retailer management. The ASM will be responsible for managing Marketing Officers, delivering monthly sales targets, onboarding retailers and influencers, and ensuring smooth adoption of the digital platform. The role requires strong execution, technical knowledge, and deep understanding of agri-input business dynamics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Break down state-level goals into district/market-level action plans for sales and network growth.
  • Achieve monthly sales, onboarding, activation, and retention targets of influencers and retailers.
  • Lead the identification, onboarding, and activation of retailers and influencers.
  • Train retailers and influencers on the App for order placement and engagement.
  • Drive field activities such as shop visits, farmer meetings, demos, and campaigns to increase business.
  • Ensure each store meets network benchmarks—20 retailers & 20 influencers.
  • Monitor daily field performance through reports, app usage data, and market feedback.
  • Resolve field-level issues related to app usage, incentives, service, or product understanding.
  • Maintain strong relationships with retailers, farmers, and influencers to generate local demand.
  • Track competitor schemes, market activity, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, reporting systems, and company processes.

Job Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Sc. Agriculture / Horticulture mandatory
  • M.Sc. Agriculture or MBA (Agribusiness) preferred
  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in sales & marketing of Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC)
  • Strong exposure to retailer network development and influencer–based models
  • Must have strong experience in the assigned region’s agri-input market

Job Skills

  • Strong understanding of crop patterns, agronomy, and rural farmer behavior
  • Excellent team handling, field execution, and retailer relationship skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to motivate field teams
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and mobile app usage
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
  • Fluency in local language + Hindi/English preferred

Salary Range

Negotiable – based on experience, performance history, and suitability for the role
