We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager for Packaging Purchase. This role is pivotal in managing the end-to-end procurement of specialized packaging materials for our pesticide and agrochemical manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in sourcing HDPE, COEX, and Aluminum bottles, as well as a strong command of the SAP MM Module.
Manage procurement for all packaging materials including Bottles (HDPE, LDPE, COEX, Aluminum), Labels, Pouches, Bags, and Corrugated (C.) Boxes.
Execute purchase orders strictly against Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Indents.
Float Request for Quotations (RFQ), analyze bids, and prepare Comparative Statements for management review.
Lead Vendor Development initiatives to ensure a robust supply chain.
Conduct aggressive price negotiations to achieve cost-saving targets without compromising quality.
Perform regular Vendor Evaluations to monitor and improve supplier performance.
Liaise with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials in sync with production schedules.
Conduct consistent follow-ups for material dispatch against open Purchase Orders (POs).
Identify and resolve material-related issues, implementing immediate corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records within SAP/ERP (Material Management - MM Module).
Provide regular MIS reports on procurement status, cost analysis, and inventory levels.
Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years specifically within the Pesticide or Agro-Chemical industry. Candidates from other industries will not be considered.
Technical Proficiency: Must have hands-on experience working with SAP (MM Module) and ERP systems.
Material Knowledge: Technical understanding of chemical-grade packaging (HDPE, COEX, Aluminum, etc.).
Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Qualification: B.Com or B.Sc. degree.
