Job Summary 

We are looking for a results-driven and dynamic Area Manager to lead our operations across Andhra Pradesh. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in sales and marketing within the Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC) sector, with a minimum of 4-5 years in a supervisory role. This position involves managing a large field team, expanding our retail and influencer network, and consistently driving sales and partner engagement. A deep understanding of the agri-input market and rural ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh is essential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Translate business strategy into actionable plans at the state, district, and field levels to meet sales and network growth targets.
  • Own and deliver on state-level key performance indicators (KPIs), including monthly/quarterly sales, partner activation, retention, and margin targets.
  • Lead the training and onboarding of new partners (retailers/shop owners) and influencers (farmers).
  • Drive the field team to ensure high engagement, order generation, and target achievement using our digital platform.
  • Monitor the quality of partner and influencer onboarding, ensure they receive product training, and resolve any service or incentive-related escalations.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of Territory Managers and Field Executives throughout the state.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), partner agreements, and operational processes.
  • Develop and execute localized strategies to increase market reach in rural areas.
  • Support partners and influencers with sales enablement tools, schemes, and field campaigns.
  • Analyze sales data, competitor activities, and market feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Sc. in Agriculture/Horticulture is mandatory.
  • M.Sc. in Agriculture or MBA in Agribusiness is preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the sales and marketing of Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC).
  • Prior experience with agri-distribution networks or influencer models is preferred.
  • Must have 4-5 years of experience managing teams at the state or zonal level.
  • Must have worked in Andhra Pradesh for at least 5 years.

Job Skills

  • Strong understanding of regional agronomy, crop patterns, and rural farmer behavior in Andhra Pradesh.
  • Excellent sales skills.
  • Exceptional team leadership, field execution, and network-building abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and digital reporting tools.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel across the state.
  • Strong communication skills in Telugu, Hindi, and English.
